Welcome to Lopez High School
“A New Beginning”

Lopez High School is a WASC accredited alternative high school setting for grades 10-12 for the Lucia Mar Unified School District. It serves students from both Arroyo Grande and Nipomo High School as well as students transitioning back into the school district from community schools.

Lopez High School offers a morning session from 8-11 AM and an afternoon session from 11:30-2:30. Attendance is mandatory and students attending Lopez High School are considered to be in full-time attendance.

Students interested in attending LHS from one of the district high schools must go through a review process which starts with their counselor.

In collaboration with EOC, Lopez High School also houses an Infant/Toddler Center to provide daycare for parenting minors in the district with priority given to those students attending LHS.

Overall, academic achievement, technology as a tool for learning, character building, and career exploration are all part of the Lopez High School Students come to Lopez for a variety of reasons, but they leave with a healthy respect for themselves, the staff, and the community. The student body and staff know that we are a "model school" in every way.
