Yearbooks for Sale
Yearbooks (yes, an actual book), forty six color pages of Life at Lopez. This book will have sections in it such as Class of 2012 (with senior portraits), people, academics, activities, index, and ads for grads. Buy now and save! The early bird special is $25.00 per book...or save $10.00 by purchasing a yearbook and a senior ad for only $50.00, until February 27, 2012. There is a limited number of books, so don’t miss out! Medical Van
The CHC Medical Van will be on campus Thursday, January 12th. If you want to receive any medical services check with our school nurse, Marilyn Cafarchia in room 201 or Angela Alton in room 202 the Friday before, to put your name on the list.
Food Drive
We are having one more canned food drive through February 6th. You can earn one hour of community service for two cans of food. Here is your chance to get some hours of service and help needy families in our area.
Poetry Out Loud
Poetry Out Loud contest will be held Tuesday, January 31st during a.m. and p.m. sessions. If you are interested in participating in this contest but missed the first meeting, please see Ms. Dahl Kunkel for details. This contest is open to all students and will earn you an extra half credit for competing. Choose a poem from www.poetryoutloud.org, memorize it and enter the contest -- that’s all there is to it!Snow Trip
Sign ups for the annual snow trip to China Peak on Feb. The cost is $50 per student. Checks can be made payable to Lopez High School. If you have been on academic probation during terms two or three, or have below 90% attendance you will not be able to go.
